How do I make the draw?

Close entries first. Then generate the draw for each event, one event at a time.

The short answer

You cannot make a draw while entries are still open. Close them first.

Draws are made one event at a time, not for the whole tournament at once.

Seed the strongest players first if you want them kept apart in the early rounds.

The draw fills byes automatically when the number of entries is not a power of two.

You can clear a draw and generate it again, as long as no match has been played.

Step by step

  1. Make sure entries are closed. The draw stays locked until they are.

  2. Open the tournament and go to the Draw tab.

  3. Choose the event you want to draw.

  4. Seed players if you want to, then press Generate draw.

Seeding by ranking uses results already recorded in this league.

  5. Repeat for every event.

Things that go wrong

The draw is locked until entries close

This is deliberate. A draw made while people can still enter is wrong the moment the next person enters.

Clearing a draw after play has started loses what was played

Clear and regenerate freely before the first match. Once scores exist, treat clearing as a last resort.

Byes are normal and are filled for you

If the number of entries is not eight, sixteen or thirty two, some players get a bye into the next round. This is expected.
